Answer:

The obstacles of the Berlin Airlift were: the massive amount of people who needed supplies, the state of the airports and the aircrafts available for the operation.

Explanation:

The Berlin Airlift was an air supply system used by the western powers in Berlin after World War II and because of the Soviet ground blockade.

Berlin was divided into four zones, each one belongs to different countries, Soviet Union, United States, Great Britain, and France. But it was surrounded by all Soviet dominion. In response to the union of the western zones, the Soviets decided to block the ground supply of food in order to kick them off Berlin. But the United States came up with a plan of air supply the zone called the Berlin Airlift. It was thought to be a short-term measure but it lasts for more than a year.

The Airlift faced many obstacles during its preparation, but the alliance between the U.S., Britain, and France manage to sort them all. Finally, the Soviets decided to end the blockade and reopened the roads. They had failed.

Winter and rationing--Berlin was located in Soviet territory and the USSR wanted the Western powers out which led to a blockade and the airlift.

During winter, it became harder for the west to get supplies to West Berlin. The USSR began rationing electricity which also made life in West Berlin more difficult. Though West Berlin struggled through the conditions, they would have rather this situation instead of being under Soviet control. The airlift lasted over a year and ended with the USSR lifting the blockades to West Berlin.
