Answer:

The obstacles of the Berlin Airlift were: the massive amount of people who needed supplies, the state of the airports and the aircrafts available for the operation.

Explanation:

The Berlin Airlift was an air supply system used by the western powers in Berlin after World War II and because of the Soviet ground blockade.

Berlin was divided into four zones, each one belongs to different countries, Soviet Union, United States, Great Britain, and France. But it was surrounded by all Soviet dominion. In response to the union of the western zones, the Soviets decided to block the ground supply of food in order to kick them off Berlin. But the United States came up with a plan of air supply the zone called the Berlin Airlift. It was thought to be a short-term measure but it lasts for more than a year.

The Airlift faced many obstacles during its preparation, but the alliance between the U.S., Britain, and France manage to sort them all. Finally, the Soviets decided to end the blockade and reopened the roads. They had failed.

I hope this answer helps you.

Winter and rationing--Berlin was located in Soviet territory and the USSR wanted the Western powers out which led to a blockade and the airlift.

During winter, it became harder for the west to get supplies to West Berlin. The USSR began rationing electricity which also made life in West Berlin more difficult. Though West Berlin struggled through the conditions, they would have rather this situation instead of being under Soviet control. The airlift lasted over a year and ended with the USSR lifting the blockades to West Berlin.

Kitty [74]

Answer:

The plains are likely named after Abraham Martin (also known as L'Écossais) (1589–1664), a fisherman and river pilot called The Scot. Martin moved to Quebec City in 1635 with his wife Marguerite Langlois and received 32 acres of land divided between the lower town and promontory from the Company of New France.

For this question, let's just use your example of trader. Now our definition of trader would be the kind of trader that is also a merchant from the past era and not day trader as in a stock trader. Basically, a trader exchanges goods for money or any other form of monetary object. Now a trader can greatly contribute to the economic welfare of the city because he provides goods and services to the people of the city. He will receive money from the people in which he will have to pay taxes which can help contribute to the development of the city.

How did Olmec civilization differ from Maya civilization?
Lilit [14]
Well, the Mayan's were quite a secluded, BIG civilization, which did not trade a lot (traded with the Olmec) and was a bit independent. Some differences were the style of their clothing. The Mayans believed deeply that their clothing should have symbols from their gods. Another difference, would be that the Olmec traded a lot more with the North, yet was not as large as the Mayans, but were technologically further advanced as the Mayans used string for their writing. Sorry this is not terse but I hope this little info. helps you.
