Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

The area of octagon is given = 10391.9

The formula for area of octagon with side a is = 2(1+\sqrt{2} )a^2

10391.9 = 2(1+\sqrt{2} )a^2

hence ,

a^2 = \frac{10391.9}{2(1+\sqrt{2} )}

a^2 = 2152.2329

a = 46.39

Hence the length of the side of the octagon is 46    :   Answer

Now perimeter of the octagon will be = 8*side length

Hence the perimeter = 8*46.39 =371.1

hence the perimeter of the octagon is 371   :   Answer

Hope it will help :)

Liang is ordering new tires for his car. The tires he has have a circumference of 28π inches and a wheel rim with a circumferenc
skelet666 [1.2K]

The radius of tire is larger than radius of wheel by 5 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that circumference of the circle is 2πr where “r” is the radius of the circle

Circumference refers to the dimension of the periphery of the circle. Since tires are put on the periphery of the wheel hence, we considered the circumferential aspect of the wheel.

Given-

Circumference of tires= 28π inches

2πr= 28π cancelling the common term “π” both sides

r (radius of the tires) = 14 inches

Circumference of the wheel rims= 18π

2πr= 18π cancelling the common term “π” both sides

r (radius of the tires) = 9 inches

Difference between the radius= 14-9= 5 inches

Hence, the difference between the radius of tires and the radius of the wheels is 5 inches
