Igoryamba

Answer:

In my opinion, inThe Rhinocerosthe people living in the town that weretransforming were the Nazis; more and more people were turning to them and“transforming” into Nazis. The only ones that were “immune” to this were the onesthat were not swayed, and they were hunted down and attacked even by theirlovers and family members. On the contrary, in “And Yet the Books” I felt that thebooks represented an unswaying, unstoppable force amongst the carnage anddestruction around them

Read this excerpt from A Room of one's Own by Virginia Woolf:
sergij07 [2.7K]
Answer:
B. Women have been held back by men’s view of what they can do.

Explanation:

Unfortunately, at the beginning of the 20th century, when the book was written, society still was very unequal and men didn’t believe in women’s independence. Fathers didn’t have high hopes and expectations for their daughters: instead of wanting them to study, have money of their own and a career, they preferred them to stay at home with their families until they met someone and got married. This why the society was strongly patriarchal. Power was given to men in most areas of life and women were given the role of homemakers.

Write a story that ends with the following lines.
Dovator [93]

Answer:

When I was eighteen I decided I wanted to travel alone. I bought a ticket to Australia, I packed my bags and I left for the airport. I had to do a scale in Italy and then I had to take the flight there to go to Australia. I had to wait four more hours and I was sleepy so I decided to take a nap and set an alarm to wake up in time for my flight. But I didn't. I missed it and I got stranded in the airport for one whole day. It was the first thing that went wrong but not the only one. When I finally arrived to Australia, I had a lot of bad experiences. I felt lonely, I lost money and I missed home. However, I also made friends for life, I discovered amazing landscapes and I had the time of my life. So, nevertheless, it was my best experience.

Explanation:

To complete this exercise, you have to <u>write a story that ends with the line given.</u> Since the line has the word <em>"nevertheless"</em> included, you should write about something that was bad or went wrong but ended up being <em>"the best experience"</em>. It's important to follow the rules given, which are the word limit and the different parts of a story.
