Answer:

"Bias can be defined as an inclination of temperament or outlook, especially a personal and sometimes unreasoned judgment—i.e., prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair—for example, an overgeneralization.

Prejudice (prae=previous; judicum=judgment) can be defined as a preconceived judgment or opinion; an adverse opinion or leaning without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge; or an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.

Prejudice means you judge someone by a something general about them. Like race or gender. Bias means someone leans towards something. For example when discussing food someone is likely to favor foods they like.

Why do you think the French Revolution ended in a Reign of Terror while the American Revolution did not?
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

The French Revolution was a watershed event in modern European history that began in 1789 and ended in the late 1790s with the ascent of Napoleon Bonaparte. During this period, French citizens razed and redesigned their country’s political landscape, uprooting centuries-old institutions such as absolute monarchy and the feudal system. The upheaval was caused by widespread discontent with the French monarchy and the poor economic policies of King Louis XVI, who met his death by guillotine, as did his wife Marie Antoinette. Although it failed to achieve all of its goals and at times degenerated into a chaotic bloodbath, the French Revolution played a critical role in shaping modern nations by showing the world the power inherent in the will of the people.

As good consumers of psychology, we must be aware that not all vivid cases of mental illness—such as when a high school student
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

The options are given below:

A. discriminatory regulation

B. heuristic

C. illusory correlation

D. foot-in-the-door model

The correct option is C. illusory correlation

Explanation:

In the field of psychology, illusory correlation refers to the phenomenon in which people perceive a relationship or connection between variables even when such relationship or connection do not exist. Oftentimes, people tend to attach a particular behavior or actions to a particular set of people, for example, when a person believes that people who live urban environments are rude. This belief will make the person think that every rude person they meet, lives in the city, rather than a rural area.

Therefore, in the scenario given above, where people assume there exists a relationship between violence and mental illnesses, when in fact, there is none, we say it is an Illusory Correlation.

NARA [144]

The PICTA came into force as of 2003 when 6 member countries of the Forum of the Pacific Helases signed and ratified the pact in their different governments. The main objective of PICTA is free trade among the 14 nations that make up the Forum.

In 2006, the PACIFIC AGREEMENT ON THE RELEVANCE OF ECONOMIC RELATIONSHIPS comes into effect, this agreement allows to celebrate free trade agreements between the member countries and an external state, with the following reservation: only Australia and New Zealand will be able to deal directly with external states.
