You would first make an equation for each problem. Use c for chairs and t for tables. It says 7 chairs and 9 tables is $91. So the equation would be 7c + 9t = 91. You would do the same for the other set of numbers, 5c + 3t = 35. You would want to get one of the variables by then self. I did the problem and I decided to get rid of c first so for the first problem I multiplied by -5 and the other problem by 7 that makes c -35 and 35. You would add the two problems together then simplify the problem all the way down. When you get that answers you end up and answer for t you plug that number in one of the equation for t and simplify down for c. If you need a more detailed explanation plz let me know.

Savings should be treated as another type of
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

B,  Net income

Step-by-step explanation:

Savings cannot be treated as deduction as deductions are compulsory done by the employer for loans, taxes, and other liabilities as PF etc.  But savings is voluntarily done by the income holder after setting aside amount for all other expenditure necessary to sustain living.

Savings cannot be treated as short term goal, as sometimes savings are for long term as children's education, marriage, old age pension, etc.

Savings cannot be treated as expenditure as expenditures are getting some goods or services by paying some money.  But savings is not giving money to get service or good but to hold it for future use

THus the appropriate answer is savings is net income i.e. income over all expenditures.

Cost of book (x) exceeds twice the cost of pen (y) by Rs 10. This
Eddi Din [679]

The relationship between the cost of books and pens is an illustration of linear equation.

The linear equation is (a) x - 2y - 10 =0

From the question, we have:

x exceeds 2 times y by 10

Rewrite as:

x exceeds 2y by 10

Exceed means plus (+)

So, we have:

x = 2y + 10

Equate the above equation to 0

x - 2y - 10 =0

Hence, the required equation is (a) x - 2y - 10 =0
