Bom dia!

Pois, além de outras coisas,  a exploração intensa da Mata Atlântica colocou em extinção - e extinguiu - diversas espécies de nossa fauna e flora, impedindo o reconhecimento e a catalogação de tais formas de vida.

Abraços!

After Charlie passed through the Alps and headed south, he entered the __________ Peninsula.
Nadya [2.5K]

South of the Alps lies the Apennine Peninsula.

Explanation:

The Alps are the largest mountain range on European soil. It is still up for debate are they the highest mountains in Europe or not, as there are still debates about the border of Europe and Asia in the Caucasus, where there are higher mountains than the Alps. This mountain range has been formed by the Alpine orogenesis, which has been triggered by the movement of Africa toward Europe. These mountains are considered to be young mountains, and they are still growing in area and height.

  • The Alps are a natural barrier between Central and Western Europe north of them, and the Apennine Peninsula south of them.
  • The Appennine Peninsula has its northern border totally surrounded by the Alps, which has led to the development of a unique culture, but also served as a good defense mechanism in the past.
  • There are three countries located on the Apennine Peninsula, with Italy dominating almost all of it, and San Marino and Vatican occupying very small areas.

1. Using a Key Which mineral is mined in the most locations?
son4ous [18]

Answer:

Coal: 7.4 billion tonnes

Explanation:

The World Coal Association estimates that there are more than one trillion tonnes of coal reserves worldwide, enough to last 150 years at current rates of production, so it is unsurprising to see coal ranked as the most-mined mineral in the world.

While China has consistently led the world in production – the country was responsible for 3.3 billion tonnes in 2016 – this was down 16% from the 3.9 billion tonnes produced in 2012. Chinese coal output slumped below the 3.4 billion tonne-threshold predicted in 2016 and the trend may continue, as renewable energy sources become more widespread.

The Chinese decline has mirrored a trend in worldwide coal production, which fell to 7.4 billion tonnes in 2016 from 8.2 billion in 2012. While coal production has increased in Australia and Russia in the last five years, both South Africa and the US have seen sharp declines in production of anthracite and bituminous coal. American coal production in particular has fallen from over 900 million tonnes in 2012 to 782 million in 2016, the lowest figure since 1979.

How much do you agree with the following statement?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
I'd say I agree with this statement. In a certain area, climate change can affect everyone equally. The definition for climate change is: a change in global or regional climate patterns, especially since the 20th century with the recent increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Since this happening, everywhere in the world is affected by the increasing and rising temperature. Crops may not grow as well, cattle and game may not thrive as much, etc.

Climate change takes an effect in different countries. The change in climate can affect the way people live their lives. For example, in the Artitic, animals are endangered and going extinct from the rising temperatures. People who live on the coast may have to live their homes because the water level is steadily rising. Animals used to colder weather may become endangered in places like Canada, Russia, etc. Climate change affects many places.

I hope this helped you!

What kind of eruption is likely to occur in a volcano having magma that is low in silica? Explain your answer.
o-na [289]
Eruption with low silica tends to be nonexplosive. The type of lava is Basaltic, flows easily because of low viscosity (low gas content- originates in the mantle). This type of lava comes from shield volcanoes (low angle slopes and gentle)- eg. Manua Loa Volcano and Hawaii.
