Solve the second equation for x  to get x=-9-y, the plug it in into the first equation, so you get 2(-9-y) -3y = 12, distribute the 2, so you get -18-2y-3y=12, add like terms so you get -18-5y = 12, then move the constants to the right so you get -5y = 30 and solve to get y=-6, and then plug it into x=-9-y to get x=-3  <span />

The mayor of a town has proposed a plan for the annexation of a new community. A political study took a sample of 10001000 voter
Reil [10]

Answer:

We accept H₀

p-value = 0,1618

Step-by-step explanation:

We are going to solve a one tail proportion-test ( right tail)

We assume Normal distribution

Sample population 1000

Political strategist to test  wants to test:

Null hypothesis                             H₀           p = p₀       or   p = 26 %

Alternate hypothesis                    Hₐ           p > p₀        or  p > 26%

We assume CI  90 % then

α = 10 %     α = 0,1    and  z score for α = 0,1  is critical value

z = 2,32          ( note  2,32 is z score for α = 0,1017 "good approximation")

To compute z(s)

z(s)  =  ( p -p₀ ) / √ p₀q₀/n

z(s)  =  ( 0,29 - 0,26 ) /√ 0,26*0,74/1000

z(s)  = 0,03 / 0,014

z(s) = 2,14

We compare z(s) and z(c)

z(s) < z(c)

2,14 < 2,32

z(s) is in the acceptance region we accept H₀

The p-value for z(s) is from z-table

p-value = 0,1618

The table shows a linear function. <br><br> Which equation represents the function.
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

\large\boxed{f(x)=\dfrac{3}{2}x-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{The slope-intercept formula:}\\\\y=mx+b\\\\m\ -\ slope\\b\ -\ y-intercept\\\\\text{The formula of a slope:}\\\\m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\\\\\text{From the table we hve two points (0, -1) and (2, 2). Substitute:}\\\\m=\dfrac{2-(-1)}{2-0}=\dfrac{3}{2}

\text{Therefore the equation is}\ f(x)=\dfrac{3}{2}x-1\\\\\text{Check for  the point (4, 5):}\\\\f(4)=\dfrac{3}{2}(4)-1=(3)(2)-1=6-1=5\qquad\ CORRECT

Answer:

\frac{ - 4  + 4i}{ - 3 - 6i}  \\  \frac{ - 4 + 4i}{ - 3 - 6i}  \times  \frac{ - 3 + 6i}{ - 3 + 6i}  \\  =  \frac{12 - 24i - 12i + 24 {i}^{2} }{ {( - 3)}^{2} -  {(6i)}^{2}  }  \\  =   \frac{ - 12 - 36i}{45}  \\  =  \frac{ - 12}{45}  \frac{ - 36i}{45}  \\ than \: you
