\frac{14 +10}{2}

Make the problem into a fraction by putting 14 + 10 on top of 2.

So that it looks like this: (im new at this still cant do fractions! sorry :) )

14 +10

--------------

    2

when someone sees this expression, they will automatically know to add 14 and 10 THEN divide by 2

(14+10)÷2

14 plus 10, divided by two. Following PEMDAS, if you didn't put the parenthesis between 14 and 10, you would have to divide 10/2*14, so the expression should be (14+10)÷2.

Solve the triangle. Round lengths to the nearest tenth and angle measures to the nearest degree. B = 15° C = 113° b = 49
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

  A = 52°, a = 149.2, c = 174.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Technology is useful for this. Many graphing calculators can solve triangles for you. The attachment shows a phone app that does this, too.

___

The Law of Sines can give you the value of c, so you can choose the correct answer from those offered.

  c = sin(C)·b/sin(B) = sin(113°)·49/sin(15°) ≈ 174.271 ≈ 174.3 . . . . . third choice

A graduated cylinder is filled with 20ml of water. Then, an 8g marble is dropped into the cylinder, causing the volume to change
Tema [17]

Answer:

The density of the marble is 2,000 kg/m³

Step-by-step explanation:

The given parameters for finding the density of the marble are;

The volume of water in the graduated cylinder, v₁ = 20 ml

The mass of the marble dropped into the graduated cylinder, m = 8 g

The new volume of the cylinder after the 8 g marble is dropped into the cylinder, v₂ = 24 ml

Therefore, the volume of the marble, v = v₂ - v₁

Substituting the known values gives;

The volume of the marble, v = 24 ml - 20 ml = 4 ml

Density, ρ = Mass, m/(Volume, v), the units of density is kg/m³

Therefore, the density of the marble, \rho _{marble}, is given as follows;

\rho _{marble} = m/v = (8 g)/(4 ml) = 2 g/ml

1 g/ml = 1 kg/l = 1,000 kg/m³

∴ \rho _{marble} = 2 kg/l = 2,000 kg/m³.
