Neither the peptide hormones or the metabotropic neurotransmitters such as the catecholamines, can enter their target cells. They bind to surface receptors, which then activate second-messenger systems in the cell. Peptides hormones are the hormones that consist of amino acids; they can be among the intracellular signalling peptides and proteins, and can include insect hormones, gastrointestinal hormones and thyroid hormones, but their actions are not limited to individual cells and they can act systemically.

The inhibited mucus production leads to digestive difficulties. To aid with this, Apollo is prescribed a smooth muscle stimulant
nata0808 [166]

Answer: B. Epididymis

Explanation:

The region that'll be affected by the smooth muscle stimulant to help food move forward by peristalsis and hence leads to increased urination include the ductus deferens, urinary bladder and the urethra.

It should be noted that the epididymis isn't affected by the stimulant. The epididymis is simply the long, coiled tube which helps in the storage of sperm and then transports it from the testes.

The head of the epididymis is characterized by a thick epithelium which has a long stereocilia and a little smooth muscle. Therefore, the smooth muscle stimulant will not be necessary.
