Answer:

It is given that In Δ ABC

sin A=\frac{1}{4},cos A=\frac{\sqrt{15}}{4}, tan A=\frac{1}{\sqrt{15}}

Length of perpendicular = 1=AB

length of Hypotenuse =4=AC

Length of Base = √15=BC

In ΔYZX

Length of perpendicular =6 =YZ

length of Hypotenuse =24=ZX

Length of Base = 6√15=XY

ΔYZX is similar to ΔABC, because when triangles are similar their sides are proportional.

\frac{AB}{YZ}=\frac{BC}{XZ}=\frac{AC}{XY}=\frac{1}{6}

A group of dental researchers are testing the effects of acidic drinks on dental crowns. They have five containers of crowns lab
mestny [16]

Answer:

\begin{array}{cccccc}{x} & {V} & {W} & {X} & {Y} & {Z} & P(x) & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} \ \end{array}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

S = \{V,W,X,Y,Z\}

n(S) = 5

Required

The probability model

To do this, we simply calculate the probability of each container.

So, we have:

P(V) = \frac{n(V)}{n(S)} = \frac{1}{5} = 0.20

P(W) = \frac{n(W)}{n(S)} = \frac{1}{5} = 0.20

P(X) = \frac{n(X)}{n(S)} = \frac{1}{5} = 0.20

P(Y) = \frac{n(Y)}{n(S)} = \frac{1}{5} = 0.20

P(Z) = \frac{n(Z)}{n(S)} = \frac{1}{5} = 0.20

So, the probability model is:

\begin{array}{cccccc}{x} & {V} & {W} & {X} & {Y} & {Z} & P(x) & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} & {0.20} \ \end{array}

A gumball machine has different flavors sour apple,grape,orange and cherry . There are six of each flavor. $.50 are put in the m
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

30/552

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this problem you need to multiply the probability of getting grape for the first gumball with the probability of getting grape for the second gumball. Since there are 6 grape gumballs and a total of 24 gumballs (6*4). Then the probability of getting grape for the firs one is

\frac{6}{24}

Now there are only 5 grape gumballs available and one less in the total supply, therefore the probability of getting grape in the second try is

\frac{5}{23}

Finally we multiply them together to find the probability of getting two grapes in a row.

\frac{6*5}{24*23} = \frac{30}{552}

A number cubed is rolled. What is the probability that a one or six will be rolled
son4ous [18]

Answer: 1/3

Step-by-step explanation: Since there are six sides to a number cube, the total number of outcomes will be 6.

Since there are 2 favorable outcomes, rolling a 1 or a 6,

the probability of rolling a 1 or a 6 is 2/6 which reduces to 1/3.
