Answer: Discontent at poor governance and life was a major cause of the Revolutions of 1848. Bad harvests and economic depression in the years leading up to the 1848 created massive discontent throughout all of Europe, and food riots were common. Unemployment was also created due to the economic crisis

Workers lost their jobs, bread prices rose, and people accused the government of corruption. However general discontent caused by food shortages, economic depression and poor governance was a major factor in causing the Revolutions of 1848.
