In this excerpt from Act II, Scene II, of "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar", by William Shakespeare, the type of figurative language that is used in the passage is simile. A simile is a comparison between two unlike things, often with the word like. Calphurnia asks Julius Caesar not to go to the Senate because she has had nightmares. Julius Caesar tells Denius that he is not going because his wife saw a statue of him that was like a fountain but pouring blood.

Proctor thinks that the strict rules the Puritan government asked their people to follow were untrue. The most important thing for them was respect and reputation but it did not mean that to be well reputed was a sign of being honest and a true son of God.There was jealosy and envy in such a society and proctor was not a person with such feelings in his heart. The corruption in the government meant that their members covered their sins but pointed others as sinful wrongdoers who deserved to go to hell.Sicne the themes are lies, deceit and the danger of ideology , his integrity shown in act 4 is shown through his feelings and the way he points them out.

Read the passage.
Vaselesa [24]

Point of view is the mode of narration that the author employs to let the readers "hear" or "see" what happens in the story. There are three major types of point of view, first person, second person, and third person. First person uses the pronouns "I" or "we". Second person uses the pronoun "you". Lastly, the third person utilizes the pronouns "he", "she", "it", "they", or a name. In this case, the passage reads:

"She's a good dog, isn't she?" Doris said, hoping one of them would agree with her.

In this passage, the pronouns she and them indicate third-person point of view (C).
