Given:
8:03 = 188 empty seats
8:10 = 160 empty seat

188 - 160 = 28 empty seats
8:10 - 8:03 = 0:07 minutes

28 / 7 minutes = 4 empty seats per minute

8:00 - 8:03 = 3 minutes
3 minutes * 4 seats per minute = 12 seats

188 + 12 = 200 empty seats at 8:00

8:15 - 8:10 = 0:05 minutes
5 minutes * 4 seats per minute = 20 empty seats
160 - 20 = 140 empty seats at 8:15

200 - 120 = 80 empty seats
80 empty seats / 4 empty seats per minute = 20 minutes
120 empty seats at 8:20.

8:00 = 200 empty seats
200 / 4 = 50 minutes
8:00 + 0:50 = 8:50 is the time when there are no empty seats left.

Using ƒ(x) = 3x − 3 and g(x) = -x, find g(ƒ(x))<br> a. 3x+3<br> b. 3-3x<br> c.-3-3x<br> d. 2x-3
Tresset [83]
<h3>Answer:  Choice B.  3 - 3x</h3>

Work Shown:

g(x) = -x\\\\g(f(x)) = -f(x)\\\\g(f(x)) = -(3x-3)\\\\g(f(x)) = -3x+3\\\\g(f(x)) = \boldsymbol{3-3x}\\\\

Explanation: We start with the outer function g(x). In the second step, we replace every copy of x with f(x). From there we plug in f(x) = 3x-3 and simplify using the distribution rule.

The notation g(f(x)) is the same as writing (g \circ f)(x)

What can you tell about two integers when their quotient is positive? negative? or zero?
Archy [21]
If the quotient is positive, we know that the two integers are either both positive or both negative.

If the quotient is negative, we know that one integer is positive and the other is negative.

If the quotient is zero, then we are dividing 0 by some non-zero integer.

May run 6 miles in 54 minutes how long will it take her to run 10 miles
djyliett [7]

Answer:

It would take her 90 minutes to run 10 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

First you should divide 54 by 6 and you'll get 9. So it takes her 9 minutes to run 10 miles (which is physically impossible). You multiply 9 times 10 and get 90.
