The hydrologic, rock, and tectonic cycles are powered by two main energy sources. They are the Sun and interior of Earth (core).  The hydrologic cycle is the natural sequence through which water continues moves and  passes into the atmosphere as water vapor. It is also known as water cycle. The sun, provides the energy needed for evaporation like the flame for a gas stove gives the energy for water to boil water and make steam.
