History

Think of history as providing a window to the past. In other words, we can look back in time and see what things were different. In our world, understanding the past is essential for understanding our world we live in today. One of the key things that historians look at is how things changed over time and what things have we done differently. Another reason that history is essential to study is because it helps up with critical thinking. This can help us understand why people did the things they did and didn't do things. Lastly, we want to try to avoid mistakes that people have made in the past so we can understand how to prepare ourselves for the future.

It depends.

Some people study history to learn about the past, others study history because it's interesting, and some study it to learn from past mistakes.

For the answer to the question above,

Dear John,

Our journey from Vietnam has been very rough, with so many sick people on this ship, yet it would be better than the czar's army. I will write again when I am ready for a wife. The Americans here did not take to kindly to us immigrating. I hope this life works out.

Sincerely,
Miss Philadelphia

After World War II, why did the USSR want to control countries in Eastern Europe?
krek1111 [17]
Slavic and Scandinavian countries are very rich in resources, and Russia wanted to control most trade in Europe until the collapse of the Soviet Union. More trade = More power and they were still recovering after the HARD losses when the Germans' invaded Leningrad and the war.

Why were European nations interested in the countries of Southeast Asia?
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

The Europeans were interested in colonizing Southeast Asia for the same basic reasons that they wanted to colonize the other regions of the world. But with Southeast Asia, there was a new reason for wanting to colonize-- it was a backdoor to China.
