width = 83 cm

Perimeter = 2(width) + 2(length)

So if l = 99 cm, and p = 364, then

364 = 2w + 2(99)

364 = 2w + 198

166 = 2w

w = 83 cm

At a school there are 864 students and 80 staff members. 5/8 of the students are boys. How many girls are in the school?
aniked [119]

Answer:

324 girls

Step-by-step explanation:

From the information given;

  • Number of students = 864
  • Staff members = 80
  • Fraction of boys = 5/8

We are required to determine the number of girls in the school;

Total number of students is 864

Therefore;

Number of boys = 5/8(864)

                           = 540

Thus;

Number of girls = 864 - 540

                          = 324

Hence, there are 324 girls in the school
