In the given question, the scientist is studying an ecosystem.

A community of living species in combination with the nonliving constituents of their environment, associating as a system is known as an ecosystem. These abiotic and biotic constituents are associated together via energy flows and nutrient cycles.

A desert ecosystem is illustrated by the associations between the organism populations, the climate in which they thrive, and any other kind of non-living effects on the habitat. The deserts are usually dry areas that are typically related to warm temperatures.

It's likely that the scientists are studying the ECOLOGY of the Mojave Desert, since Ecology takes into account the resources, organisms, and environmental factors involving that ecosystem.

In your own words, describe Crick's Central Dogma. Explain why this is an inference.
LuckyWell [14K]
Central dogma by Crick is explaining how a gene is translated. It involves transcription and translation. Transcription is copying the message of DNA to mRNA. This message is translated in the cytoplasm by ribosomes with the help of tRNA to syntheise proteins which are basis of every metabolic reactions. This is an inference based on observations. For him it was found reasonable to infer the message should be carried from DNA to cytoplasm.
