The Egyptians and the Romans.
The government took control of the industrial power of the US and made many business produce material for the war. The role of government changed to where they had much more control over the economy and the major corporations which they previously had little control over, especially in the beginning of the 1900’s where it seemed they had no control.
The success of individuals such as Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell changed American culture because: A) Their success encouraged people to experiment and invent new products. Thomas Edison was successful in inventing things like the light bulb and the phonograph. Alexander Graham Bell was successful in inventing the telephone as well as the first successful metal detector. These successes by these men helped encourage the American people to experiment more and invent new things.
Expansion of Slavery impacted the lives of already enslaved people, by causing them to continue being abused and held as slaves. The expansion further strengthened the practice of slavery, making it even harder for slaves to escape and causing more people to be enslaved too.
If I remember right Cassius betrayed Caesar and killed him because the people of Rome liked Caesar as their emperor.
