Hello :)

First, solve each side before we solve the inequality

4 − (x + 2)

−3x − 12

− (x+2)

4 − x − 2

*group the like terms*

− x + 4 − 2

− x + 2

−3(x + 4)

−3(x + 4)

3x − 12

− x + 2 < 3x − 12

subtract 2 from both sides

− x + 2 < −3x − 12

      -2             -2

−x < − 3x − 14

add 3x to both sides

−x < − 3x − 14

+3x   +3x

2x < − 14

divide both sides by 2

\frac{2x}{2}<\frac{-14}{2}

x < − 7

Pam typed 2.5 pages in 15 minutes. At that rate, how many minutes will it take her to type 23 pages?
NeX [460]
In the given question, it is already mentioned that Pam takes 15 minutes to type 2.5 pages. this information should be used as the main information for reaching the desired answer.
Pam typed 2.5 pages in = 15 minutes
Then time taken by Pam to type 23 pages = (15/2.5) * 23
                                                                     = 345/2.5
                                                                     = 3450/25
                                                                    = 138
So Pam will take 138 minutes to type 23 pages

"let v be the event that a computer contains a virus, and let w be the event that a computer contains a worm. suppose p(v) = 0.1
morpeh [17]

Here we might have to find p(v intersection w) and for that we use the following formula

p(v U w) = p(v)+p(w)-p(v intersection w)

And it is given that p(v) =01.3 , p(w) = 0.04 and p(v U w ) = 0.14 .

Substituting these values in the formula, we will get

0.14 = 0.13 +0.04 -p(v intersection w)

p(v intersection w) =0.13 +0.04 -0.14 = 0.03

So the required answer of the given question is 0.03 .

What is the value of k?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

k = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangles angels added up must equal 180 degrees, and the top angle is 65 degrees by the 180 degree rule.

So 10k + 15 must equal the remaining 115

subtract 15 from each side and you get 10k = 100

divide each each by 10 and you get the answer of k = 10
