Well the Founding Fathers saw that Great Britain was being a big old meany pushing people around and ruling over their lives. So they decided that they didn't want that. They wanted freedom, independence, individualism. As said in the Bill of Rights, freedom of religion was huge. People wouldn't want to be prosecuted for believing in something else, so they left. That formed the freedom of religion. We also didn't like that we didn't have representation back in good old Britain. So we decided to boycott and start a war and blah blah blah. We won because of France. I'm sorry if I rambled about other things, I just think some other things were of greater significance during the time.

Why were Mussolini and Hitler able to gain power and engage in territorial expansion with such ease prior to 1939
Vesna [10]

Answer:

They were able to gain power and engage in territorial expansion following the prevalence of chaos, violence, and disillusionment with the governments in power.

When elections were conducted, the newly-minted European Fascist Parties won, took charge of governments of their respective countries, and entrenched the principles of fascism.

Explanation:

The political atmosphere in both countries paved the way for fascism to develop.  Amidst violence and chaos, Fascist Parties, promising better capitalism without socialism, won elections in Europe.  Having achieved political victory, the parties gradually consolidated their holds on power.  They sought territorial expansions in Europe and North Africa to protect their superpower status.
