Well the Founding Fathers saw that Great Britain was being a big old meany pushing people around and ruling over their lives. So they decided that they didn't want that. They wanted freedom, independence, individualism. As said in the Bill of Rights, freedom of religion was huge. People wouldn't want to be prosecuted for believing in something else, so they left. That formed the freedom of religion. We also didn't like that we didn't have representation back in good old Britain. So we decided to boycott and start a war and blah blah blah. We won because of France. I'm sorry if I rambled about other things, I just think some other things were of greater significance during the time.

PLEASE HELP!<br> Was big government reduced in 2005?
marysya [2.9K]
The answer is Big government—we heard a lot about it when Ronald Reagan was first seeking the Presidency. Lately the topic has attracted less attention from politicians, commentators, and scholars. But the thing itself has not disappeared. Over the past decade, as over the past century, American government has continued to grow. Back in 2005
