Answer:

a. So that Mr. Rochester will not be able to find her

Explanation:

Jane Eyre doesn't want Mr. Rochester (the man she loves but who deeply disappointed her) to find her, so she gives a false name to Mr. St. John. She says her name is Jane Elliot. That way Mr. Rochester won't know that Jane Eyre is in town.

After a while, St. John finds out who Jane Eyre is, and we learn that the rich uncle of Madeira knew that she had not died and left his fortune to her. It turns out that the rich uncle of Madeira was also St. John's uncle. Such a coincidence that Jane was the cousin of the family who took care of her. Jane, good as she is, decides to share the inheritance with her cousins and has a comfortable and independent life.

Which aspects of Kate Chopin’s life do you predict will appear in her fictional work The Awakening? Use what you’ve read in this
kirill115 [55]

First, a New Orleans setting.Kate Chopin was originally from Missouri but she moved to New Orleans when she married.

Second, a character representig the new woman. She was a working woman as she got paid or at least she pretended to be paid , for writing articles for magazines.Women in the South in those days were more dedicated to their husbands and children.

Third , character representing the "new woman".I think it must be the reason why Chopin´s work The Awakening was condemned and criticised as vulgar.A woman could not have a new version.A woman´s duty and her responsibilities had always been the same.
