Answer:

x=50

Step-by-step explanation:

note that 40% is 2/5

Therefore, 30 tomatoes is 1- 2/5 = 3/5

3/5 of the tomatoes last year is 30

lets say tomatoes = x

3/5 x = 30

divide by 3 on both sides

1/5 x = 10

multiply by 5 on both sides

x=50

hope it helped :D

<em>Answer</em><em>:</em>

<h2><em>5</em><em>0</em></h2>

<em>Sol</em><em>ution</em><em>,</em>

<em>Norman</em><em> </em><em>produces </em><em>3</em><em>0</em><em> </em><em>tomatoes</em><em> </em><em>this</em><em> </em><em>year</em><em>.</em>

<em>4</em><em>0</em><em>%</em><em> </em><em>less</em><em> </em><em>tomatoes</em><em> </em><em>than</em><em> </em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>last</em><em> </em><em>year</em><em>.</em>

<em>Let</em><em> </em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>last</em><em> </em><em>year's</em><em> </em><em>tomato</em><em>es</em><em> </em><em>be</em><em> </em><em>'x'</em><em>.</em>

<em>Then</em><em>,</em>

<em>4</em><em>0</em><em>%</em><em> </em><em>of</em><em> </em><em>X</em>

<em>40 \div 100 \times x</em>

<em>0.4x</em>

<em>This</em><em> </em><em>year</em><em>=</em><em>3</em><em>0</em>

<em>x - 0.4x= 30 \\ or \: 0.6x = 30 \\ or \: x =  \frac{60}{0.6}  \\ x = 50</em>

Use the graphs below to help you answer the question. Which of the following is the best approximation to a solution of the equa
brilliants [131]

Answer:

2 is the correct option.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the equation e^x=4x+1.

We will plot the graphs of the function e^x and 4x+1.

Then, the intersection points of both the graph will be the solution of the equation e^x=4x+1.

From the graphs, we see that,

The intersection points of the graphs are (0,1) and (2.337,10.347).

The solution of the equation is the value of 'x' co-ordinate where they intersect.

So, we get, x = 2 is the correct option.

Can you guys distribute -9n-8-3n=6n-8 and figure out how many solutions it has plz
nydimaria [60]
First combine like terms (-9n-3n=-12n)
Then, subtract 6n on both sides (to get rid of the 6n) = -18n
Then, add 8 to both sides (does not matter) = 0
Finally divide (answer is 0)

Please prove it for me
grigory [225]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the trigonometric identity

tanx = \frac{1}{cotx}

Consider the left side

\frac{cotA-1}{cotA+1} ← divide terms on numerator/denominator by cotA

= \frac{\frac{cotA}{cotA}-\frac{1}{cotA}  }{\frac{cotA}{cotA}+\frac{1}{cotA}  }

= \frac{1-tanA}{1+tanA}

= right side , thus proven

Which of the following is not a promotional tactic used by a seller?
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

we conclude that the 'bait and switch' technique is not a promotional tactic used by a seller.

Hence, 'a' is the correct option.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given options, the 'bait and switch' technique is not a promotional tactic used by a seller.

'Bait and switch' is a deceptive sale practice using which the sells try to attract (bait) the customers by offering attractive prices on certain items, but when the customers tend to go to the shop to buy the items, they witness the unavailability of the goods, or find the prices go higher compared to what they had been offered.

Now, since the customers are already present at the shop, the sellers try to pressurize the customer so that they could buy something else.

Therefore, we conclude that the 'bait and switch' technique is not a promotional tactic used by a seller.

Hence, 'a' is the correct option.
