When you're dividing fractions, you've got to slip the second fraction then multiply them together. Once you've flipped it, you get
5/6 x 7/3
You then simply multiply the numerators and the denominators
5x7= 35
6x3= 18
Therefore, this becomes 35/18, which can be simplified to 1 17/18
Hope this helps :)

Write an expression that represents the<br> perimeter of this picture frame.
Nitella [24]

Answer:

6x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is all of the sides added together.

We know that in a rectangle, sides that are parallel to each other are the same.

So, to find the expression that represents the perimeter, you have to multiply 2x+1 by 2 and x by 2 and add both of those together.

(2*(2x+1))+(2*(x))

(4x+2)+(2x)

4x+2+2x

6x+2

el cobre tiene un punto de ebullicion de 2595°C y su temperatura de fusión es de 1083°C ¿cuál es la diferencia de temperaturas e
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer: 1512°C

Step-by-step explanation:

I will answer this in English:

The data we have: The boiling point is 2595°C and the fussion point is 1083°C

the difference between those points is equal to the direct difference between the temperatures:

Diff = 2595°C - 1083°C = 1512°C

A 10 ft ladder is being pulled away from a wall at a rate of 3 ft/sec. What is the rate of change in the area beneath the ladder
andriy [413]

Answer:

The rate of change in the area beneath the ladder is 5.25 ft²/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of triangle is given by;

A = \frac{1}{2}bh\\\\2A = bh\\\\take \ derivative  \ of \ both \ sides \ with \ respect  \ to \ "t"\\\\2\frac{dA}{dt} = h\frac{db}{dt} + b\frac{dh}{dt}\\\\divide \ through \ by \ 2\\\\\frac{dA}{dt} = (\frac{h}{2} )\frac{db}{dt} + (\frac{b}{2}) \frac{dh}{dt}

where;

b is the base of the triangle, given as 6 ft

h is the height of the triangle, determined  by applying Pythagoras theorem.

h² = 10² - 6²

h² = 100 - 36

h² = 64

h = √64

h = 8 ft

Determine the rate of change of the height;

h^2 + b^2 = 10^2\\\\h^2 + b^2 =100\\\\2h\frac{dh}{dt} + 2b\frac{db}{dt} =0\\\\h\frac{dh}{dt} + b\frac{db}{dt} =0\\\\h \frac{dh}{dt}  = -b\frac{db}{dt} \\\\\frac{dh}{dt}  = (\frac{-b}{h} )\frac{db}{dt}\\\\\frac{dh}{dt}  =(\frac{-6}{8})(3)\\\\\frac{dh}{dt}  = -\frac{9}{4} \ ft/s

Finally, determine the rate of change of area beneath the ladder;

\frac{dA}{dt} = (\frac{h}{2} )\frac{db}{dt} + (\frac{b}{2}) \frac{dh}{dt}\\\\\frac{dA}{dt} = (\frac{8}{2} )(3) + (\frac{6}{2}) (\frac{-9}{4})\\\\\frac{dA}{dt} = 12 - \frac{27}{4} \\\\\frac{dA}{dt} = \frac{48-27}{4}\\\\\frac{dA}{dt} = \frac{21}{4} \ ft^2/s\\\\\frac{dA}{dt} =  5.25 \ ft^2/s

Therefore, the rate of change in the area beneath the ladder is 5.25 ft²/s

A circle is inside a square as shown.
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

9.76m²

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the square is

Area =  {s}^{2}

where s=8m is the side length.

This means that:

Area =  {8}^{2}  = 64 {m}^{2}

The area of a circle is

Area = \pi \:  {r}^{2}

From the diagram, the diameter is 8m.

This means that the radius is

r =  \frac{8}{2}  = 4m

The area of the circle then becomes,

Area =3.14\:  \times  {4}^{2}  = 3.14 \times 16

Area = 50.24 {m}^{2}

The area of shaded region is area of square minus area of circle.

Area \: of \: shaded \: region = 64 - 50.24 = 9.76 {m}^{2}
