Attached is a picture showing the plot in the plane.
Note that for a complex number , x + iy.
The real part of the number is put on the x axis and the imaginary part is put on the y axis.

So plotting:
A = 4 + 1i
B = 9 + 7i
C = 5 + 8i

See picture.

Well, the answer is 12. This is because you need to add the inverse operation. So for (6x-6) You add 6 or the second number( the one that doesn't have the x in front of it)because it is the opposite/inverse operation.You basically just add 6 and because the opposite of subtraction is addition. You then cross is out because it will equal zero. Then with the 6x, you add 6 as well because what you do to one side, you must do the same to the other. so 6+6=12. SO x=12.

How would I do this?
Lelu [443]
I'm not sure about part B, but part A will have the answer "if Ron eats lunch today, then he will drink a glass of milk" (without quotes of course)

The idea is that we have these arguments in symbolic form
P = Ron eats lunch today
Q = Ron eats a sandwich
R = Ron will drink a glass of milk

The format is
"If P then Q" ----> "if Q then R" so therefore "If P then R"

We see that P leads to Q, then Q leads to R. So overall P leads to R. We connect them as a chain of sorts. We can skip over Q since we know the first point will lead to the last. Think of it as a shortcut of sorts.

Mason and Laney run laps. The ratio of the number of laps Mason ran to the number Laney ran was 2:3.
3241004551 [841]

Using proportions, it is found that Mason ran 620 meters.

What is a proportion?

A proportion is a fraction of a total amount, and the measures are related using a rule of three.

Considering the ratio, the rule of three is given as follows:

2 laps for Mason - 3 laps for Laney.

n meters for Mason - 930 meters for Mason.

Applying cross multiplication:

3n = 930 x 2

n = 930 x 2/3

n = 620

Mason ran 620 meters.
