- 1 < - x/3 < 1
1st. Multiply all parts by 3:

-3 < - 3x/3 < 3. Simplify the mid term:

-3 < -x <  3. Now multiply all terms by - 1. Note when you multiply by a negative number, you flip the inequality signs:

(-1)(-3) < (-1)(-x) < (-1)(3)

+3 > x> -3

The masses of the oranges on sale at a farm stand are normally distributed with a mean of 239 grams and a standard deviation of
AleksAgata [21]
In order to calculate the z-score of a normal distribution, you need to apply the formula:

z = (o - m) / s

where:
o = observed value
m = mean
s = standard deviation

In your case:

z = (259 - 239) / 25 = 0.8

The answer is, indeed, z = 0.8

Karen operates a hot dog stand. On Wednesday she used 9 1/3 bags of hot
trapecia [35]
<h2>Explanation:</h2>

We know that Karen operates a hot dog stand. So we have:

<u>On Wednesday:</u>

<u></u>

<u></u>\text{She used} \ 9 \frac{1}{3} \ \text{bags of hot dog buns.}<u></u>

<u></u>

<u>On Thursday:</u>

<u></u>

<u></u>\text{She used} \ \frac{1}{3} \ \text{as many hot dog buns as on Wednesday}<u></u>

<u></u>

Therefore, if x is the amount of hot dog buns she used on Thursday, then:

x=\frac{1}{3}(9\frac{1}{3}) \\ \\ x=\frac{1}{3}\times 9+\frac{1}{3}\times \frac{1}{3} \\ \\ x=\frac{28}{9}

Therefore, on Thursday she used 28/9 bags of hot  dog buns.

Write a mathematical sentence. t is variable.
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

t + 8 = 82

Step-by-step explanation:

I believe they want the temperature at 11, so we would use the variable t to represent that. Then, we need the sum of that temperature and 8 degrees to break the record of 82 degrees, so we would do t, the temperature, added to 8 degrees, which will break the record of 82 :)
