You can accomplish more with others than alone because it’s not just 1 mind that’s thinking and processing, it’s multiple. For example, if your doing a math question by yourself you might not know the answer. But, if you have a partner then they might know the answer and can help you answer the question.

Which of the following rhetorical devices is unique to speaking?
shusha [124]

I believe the correct answer is: C. Using physical gestures to emphasize points .

Using physical gestures to emphasize points is a rhetorical device is unique to speaking, as it cannot be perceived in the written text. On the other hand appealing to the audience’s sense of humor, creating a metaphor to interest the audience and organizing your thoughts into a logical pattern are devices used in both speaking and writing.

What is your impression of the narrator, Ponyboy? Give evidence from the story to back up what you think of him. Is he a good pe
stiks02 [169]

Ponyboy seems to be an outsider. He says that he is a Greaser, but then he also says that he "loned it" (3). Even though he feels as though he belongs to the Greasers, he shows that he is not like other Greasers. He says that he "digs movies and books" (3). Ponyboy likes them because he puts himself into the story with the characters to experience it, not just as mind-numbing entertainment. Ponyboy seems to be a good person. He has a big heart and seems to care for others. He doesn't look at a person and label them in the story. Throughout he begins to notice that people are more than just a Soc or just a Greaser. It begins when he meets Cherry and Marcia at the movies. After Bob's death, Ponyboy starts to see Randy as more than just a Soc as well. I think I would want to be friends with Ponyboy since he offers a different perspective of things, and I know that he would be loyal and have my back.
