Answer:They also hoped to find a Northwest Passage or sail- ing route to the Orient for trade. Other motives, as expressed by the Virginia Company's first charter, were to prevent the spread of Spanish colonies, to spread Protestant Christianity (and limit Spanish Catholicism), and to convert the Virginia Indians.

Being America’ permanent English settlement, Jamestown was recognized to be the first colony of England on the banks of River James. King James was the ruler of Britain and he had sent his explorers Christopher Newport who had found this Jamestown. Virginia Company is the Joint stock endeavor which decided to fund the colonies of Jamestown. John smith was the head of Jamestown.

English settlers settled in Jamestown in order to discover a marine course to the Asian nations for trade purposes. Spaniards were also trying to occupy the shores of Mississippi, so in order to prevent Spanish Invasion, English settlers first occupied Jamestown. They were also in search of Gold.

Puritans, who were the orthodox Christians, came on to the shore of Plymouth. They diverged and intended to spend their life in Jamestown in order to spread Christianity.

How do you think a president decides who to pardon
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

The answer is below

Explanation:

In the United States, the President decides who to pardon in certain ways.

One of which is through his own will or accord.

Another means is through the applications for pardon made by the convicted person. This application is then sent for review and non-binding recommendation by the Office of the Pardon Attorney, who is an official of the United States Department of Justice.

The Presidential pardon is only applicable to convictions under federal laws, but not state or officials that were impeached.
