Second, burning power planets or fossil fuels, is highly toxic to the atmosphere and creates a negative impact on the environment. Moreover, I do suppose long lasting batteries would be cool and easier to use, but I still don't think they would have a big impact to humanity. Lastly, there are about 12.3 million American homes getting their energy from solar panels, and solar panels are a reliable energy resource, and doesn't cause any harm to the environment. So clearly, solar panels and wind turbines that cost less to build would have a huge impact on society.
