The Quebec Act came about because British were worried that the French Canadians would support the American Revolution and since they had imposed some legislative acts on the Quebecois, which they did not like, they felt they should change these a little and gain support from the French-speaking population. The Quebecois were now able to use their own land systems, have a different government style to some extent, to be able to more freely practice Catholicism and gained more territory.

Why does the Venezeulan government not work towards solving the problems related to oil pollution?
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

Due to the strong economic recession that the country is experiencing, which promotes the dismantling of refineries.

Explanation:

Venezuela has a very extensive complex of oil refineries, which is the most valuable Venezuelan product. However, due to the crisis in the oil sector, Venezuela has experienced a strong economic recession, which has caused a dismantling in refineries that has suffered a severe and constant degradation. This has increased the number of accidents with oil causing the contamination of various ecosystems. The government has not worked to solve these problems due to the lack of economic resources and the need to further degrade the oil industry.

What role do a society's beliefs play in an objective process like science?
Assoli18 [71]
Darwin is a great example. He created the theory of evolution, but because of the church ridiculing him, he couldn't come forth with his findings. Some parts of science may seem outlandish to society, and that can be very difficult to deal with.
