Commutative property means that you can rewrite the equation in a different order. So for example, if I have 3 + 8 + 5 I can rewrite it as 5 + 3 + 8 or 8 + 5 + 3 and so on and so forth. So, we must go over all the options to narrow it down. It isn't B or C, So lets look at D. D shows you 12 + 6 + 15 = 12 + 6 + 15 this is the wrong answer because it does not rewrite the equation. It just repeats itself so lets take a look at option A. A says 12 + 6 + 15 = 12 + 15 + 6 this is the correct answer because it rewrote the equation in a different order but they are still the same numbers.
So the correct answer is
A) 12 + 6 + 15 = 12 + 15 + 6

gregori [183]

Answer:

A. 2f + 10 = 28

Step-by-step explanation:

28 candy bars.

He wants 10.

28 - 10.

18 candy bars.

He gives each friend 2.

18 divided by 2.

9.

He can treat 9 friends.

Step 1: Subtract 10 from both sides.

2f+10=28

which would take away the 10 and subtract 10 from 28. (That would be Jack's bars.)

2f = 28.

Step 2: Divide by 2 on both sides.

2f = 28

which would cancel out the 2f. And Whatever is done to the left is done to the right, meaning you would divide 28 by 2 aswell. (Dividing up the candy bars among his friends).

f = 9

CAn you help me with ratios? Mrs. Sturkie mixed 3 quarts of blue paint and 2 quarts of red paint to make purple paint to her cla
fredd [130]
So as we already know the ratio is 3 quarts blue paint to 2 quarts red paint, also written as 3:2. if she only has 1 quart blue paint she will need half of a quart of red paint because the ratio has to remain the same amount. if you multiply one side then you must multiply the other. same goes with division. If she only has 1 quart of red paint then that shows she divided the 2 red by 2. There fore you would have to divided the 3 by 2 in order to get 1.5 which would then make the ratio 1.5:1
