Ok Use PEMDAS Since 8 and 6 is in pharenthesis you do that first which equals 5+4x2^2 Then you do Exponents which is 2^2 that equals 4 so that means you have 5+4x4 No you multiply 4x4 which equals 16 And now add 5 That will make 21
