C1 V1 = C2 V2 where,

C1 = initial concentration

V1= initial Volume

C2= required concentration

So if we put the values.

(40g) (100 ml) = C2 (1000 ml)

4000/1000 = C2

4 = C2

as 1000 ml = 1 L

so the concentration will be 4 g in 1 L
