Examples of What is a Dependent Clause. (When we get enough snow is a dependent clause. It contains the subject we and the verb get. The clause does not express a complete thought and cannot stand on its own as a sentence.)

A clause is a group of words containing a subject and a verb or verb phrase. Though an independent clause expresses a complete thought, a dependent clause (also known as a subordinate clause) does not. In other words, a dependent clause cannot stand as a sentence by itself. It must be combined with one or more independent clauses to form a sentence. Dependent clauses can function either as noun clauses, adjective clauses, or adverb clauses in a sentence.

Example: Damian won’t be able to play in the game because he injured his foot.

What is the irony of Rebecca Nurse and Martha Corey's situations? The crucible
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

(All confessions up until now have been lies.) Rebecca Nurse is accused of supernaturally murdering Ann Putnam's babies. This is situational irony because you would never expect Rebecca to be accused since she is so kind and good. Reverend Parris complains about his low pay and wants the deed to the house.

How does the pace and tempo change in the stanza "I know the action in the street is excitin" in Hamilton?
lora16 [44]

Answer:

The song gets more intense and louder (crashendo which is a music term for getting louder) because Hamilton is referring to how he sees the bigger picture. He realizes that "the action in the street is exciting, but Jesus between all the bleeding and fighting I've been reading in righting. We need to handle our financile situation. Are we a nation of states? What's the state of our nation". He understands that there is more to the revolution than simply fighting.

I hope this helps!

Btw I LOVE Hamilton!
