Alex wants to grow some flowers for his wife, but isn't sure which flowers will grow best in the soil in their yard. He goes to
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

This question is incomplete; the question is asking to identify variables such as the DV, IV, Constants etc

Independent variable (IV): Type of flowers

Dependent variable (DV): Growth of flowers

Constants: the same amount of sunlight, same amount of water

Explanation:

The independent variable is the variable that an experimeter changes or manipulates deliberately in order to bring about an effect in another variable. In this experiment, the TYPE OF FLOWER on each soil is changed by Alex, hence, it is the independent variable.

Dependent variable is the variable that is being measured in the experiment. It is the variable that responds to the changes made to the independent variable. In this case, the dependent variable is the GROWTH OF THE FLOWERS measured.

Constansts or control variable is the variable that the experimenter keeps constant or unchanged throughout the experiment in order to maintain the outcome of the experiment. In this case, the constants are the same amount of light, same amount of water

1. The effect of initial population sizes on the growth of populations of an organism was
ella [17]

When graphing data, we must consider the variables, label axes, define units of measure. In this case, variables are initial population size / final population size, showing an directly proportional relationship.

-------------------------------------

We need to construct a graph illustrating the data in the table.

We can make a dispersion graph. To do it, we need to define variables.

Since we want to know how different initial population sizes affect population growth,

 • the independent variable is the initial population size
 • the dependent variable is the final population size (after 24 hours)

The final population size depends on the initial population size. This is, the number of individuals at the beginning will influence the final number of individuals.

 • Initial population sizes ⇒X horizontal ax ⇒Unit: Number of individuals
 • Final population sizes ⇒ Y vertical ax ⇒ Unit: Number of individuals

By making a dispersion graph, we can represent the effect of the varying initial population sizes on the final population sizes. We can compare these effects and observe how populations grow as the N₀ increases.

We can also choose a bar graph. In this way, we can compare initial and final population sizes.

This graph will show populations and two bars per population.

 • Blue bar ⇒N₀⇒ Initial population size
 • Red bar ⇒N₁ ⇒ Final population size
 • Different populations ⇒ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ⇒ Represented in the X horizontal ax
 • The number of individuals ⇒ from 1 to 324 ⇒ Represented in the Y vertical ax.

By making a bar graph, we can represent initial and final population sizes and compare them. The population that begins with 1 individual, after 24 hours has 4 individuals. The population that begins with 3 individuals, ends with 9 individuals. And so on.

No matter which graph you choose, you will observe a directly proportional relationship between both variables. The bigger is the initial population size, the bigger it ends after 24 hs.

Answer: Beaks---->Evolution, Natural Selction, Genetic Drift, Behavioral Isolation, n Non-random mating...

Explanation:

Darwin observed many discoveries like the Galapagos tortoises, iguanas, penguins, crabs, etc...But one of the most important ones that definitely helped to see the evolution and the process of natural selection is the Galapagos finches they changed a lot mainly because of environmental changes. The Galapagos Islands are special to evolutionary history firstly because there are a lot of different sizes and colors in birds but the main focus was that after Earth was a Pangea, all land united, genetic drift occurred in the Galapagos island meaning that a small population was 'trapped' inside with no way of getting new traits though that's not exactly right because we not only change genetically but also by environmental changes and humans change it too of course(like hunting). Another important discovery that was found there wasn't only hints of evolution and natural selection but also behavioral changes especially in mating, some birds sing or dance it really depends but if some animals don't mate then new species are formed that's one of the reasons why it created a lot of diversity; Another reason to the topic of reproduction is non-random mating, some organisms are looking for some specific location or phenotypes in their mates if they don't find it they look for them in their own species which can cause the extinction of that species or spread it.

atroni [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The dna consists of bases- the order of bases determines the order of amino acids in a protein. Many proteins are responsible for showing a particular phenotype, i.e. physical trait.

Hope it helped!
