One way that a company can raise money for expansion is to sell stock. When you buy a share of a company's stock, you become a s

hareholder, or part owner, of that company. The cost of a share is often represented in points, where each points represents one dollar. When a stock gains points, its shares increase in value, and when a stock loses points, its shares decrease in value. For instance, if a stock gains three points one day, each share of its stock is worth three dollars more than it was the day before. Positive decimal numbers are used to represent gains, and negative decimal numbers are used to represent losses.
On Monday, the closing value of a share of stock in Company ABC, was 74.01. On Tuesday, it closed at 73.67, and on Wednesday, it closed at 74.32. On Thursday, the change in stock value was -1.48. And, on Friday, Company ABC's stock gained 0.89 points. Answer the following questions based on Company ABC's stock performance this week.

One shareholder owns 13 shares of Company ABC's stock. What was the total value of their stock in this company at the close of Tuesday?

Pretend you are a rider on the bus when Rosa parks refused to give up her seat. Write a detailed narrative telling what happened
Arada [10]

Answer:

Rosa Parks wasn’t too tired. She wasn’t incapable of leaving her seat when bus driver James F. Blake demanded her to do so. She was properly seated in the colored section, but because the white section was full, Blake attempted to move Parks back to accommodate the white patron.

Parks, the mother of the civil rights movement, made the decision to remain in her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama, bus because she didn’t believe she should have to move because of her race, even though that was the law.

In the middle of the crowded bus, Parks was arrested for her refusal to relinquish her seat on Dec. 1, 1955 — 61 years ago. Parks, 42, paid a fine and was briefly locked up.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! In the space provided, explain how the meaning of the following words has changed over time. Identify both the
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

Conversation in 1611 was used in many passages, the word is used something like this: "Your vain conversation received from your fathers," or "Our conversation is in heaven." In the first passage, conversation refers to a manner of life; and in the second, it means citizenship. The word peculiar was used in 1611 to mean a very special person or object. This meaning can be followed to its present meaning, strange, odd, or unusual. Likewise, the word corn in England was the name used for all other grains except corn. They had never seen the grain they obtained later from the American Indian. Our vocabulary must have evolved throughout time as we advanced in different ways and as humanity continues to evolve I am definite that our vocabulary will continue to change as time goes on.
