Not being the hero doesn’t exactly mean that you are the bad guy. There are many shades of characters that exist. Such as anti-villain. Those being characters that aren’t exactly doing good, but not exactly someone that is fully evil. These characters have usually suffered mental damage. Or at least that is a common theme in many shows and movies. However, a character could also be the full villain. These are characters that have harmful intents. To which the hero defeats them in some way(most of the time). These are often sadistic characters that plan to kill many’s
