Because everything we do has to have a process and in math, it is called formula. If we don't know the parts of it to solve it then how can someone solve it.
We need math formulas because math formulas which are equations that show us how to work something out to tell us exactly what we need to do to like multiplication,division,addition and subtraction so I hope that help
