"And then, one day all foreign Jews were expelled from Sighet," writes Wiesel, quite bluntly. "And Moishe the Beadle was a forei

gner." Why do you suppose the shocking information is delivered so matter-of-factly? What is the point of Wiesel's abruptness? Also consider the manner in which Moishe is treated by the Jew of Sighet after he escaped the gestapo capture. Are the people happy to see him? Is he himself happy to be alive? Explain why Moishe has returned to the village. Why don't the Jewish towns people believe the horrible news he brings back to them?

When Moishe escapes, he is able to bring back the news of what is happening in the camps. He has experienced the horrors of the Holocaust and wants people to be aware of what these mean. However, the Jewish people in the towns seem reluctant to believe him. Moishe's words are too intense and unimaginable for them to be reality.

Wiesel reports this information in a very matter-of-fact way because he has gotten used to the idea of it, and to the implications that come from this information. Moreover, he wants to emphasize the fact that this was the reality during this time period.

andre [41]

The connection between Mrs. Yang's gardening and Samara's idea to build a park is "Residents agreed that Mrs. Yang would manage the gardens."

Samara realized there were no public spaces for people to relax enjoying nature. When she saw Mrs. Yang gardening and her ability to do such a thing and regarding her experience and knowledge in gardening in Korea, Samara thought it would be a great idea for her to manage the park building and guide other people to help with the community garden.

Which was NOT an innovation of early agricultural life?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

D). Iron Metal work.

Explanation:

Early agricultural life was dominated by a number of innovations like the invention of wheel that began transportation of humans from one place to another, pottery for storing grains, weaving, tools made of stone and wood, etc.

As per the question, 'iron metal work' would not be categorized as an innovation of early agricultural life as it began during late 11th century BC much later than the early agricultural life. Early agricultural life was highly commanded by domestic activities like farming, pottery, weaving, etc. and therefore, the innovations too were accordingly. Early people gradually discovered metals and learnt to use them later with time. Thus, option D is the correct answer.
