The concern that most patients have with regard to electronic health information is the possibility of these records to be accessed by other people who are not directly involved in their care. If this is the case, then I will let the patient understand that the electronic health information is protected and managed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other local laws. Say if you weighed 120lb and you have low tolerance maybe after one shot it might kick in a minute later. But if you're 240lb high tolerance maybe after seven shots you might still feel sober.
