Speciation refers to the genesis of a new species from an ancestral species. There are two basic ways this can happen. Anagenesis involves one species evolving into a different species. Cladogenesis occurs when one species splits into two or more species. Cladogenesis is of greater interest in terms of biodiversity and is the type of speciation discussed here. Speciation has two primary components: diversification and genetic isolation. The two principal types of cladogenesis are allopatric speciation and sympatric speciation.

Answer is Speciation!

Each fossil with the layer where it will be present based on are layer A-BIRDS, layer B -dinosaurs , layer C-amphibians, layer D-Corals ,layer E -trilobites.

What is the oldest fossil layer?

The Pilbara area of western Australia's Strelley Pool is home to the oldest known fossils. Stromatolites are fossilized mats of microorganisms wedged between sedimentary layers. The fossils have an age of 3.4 billion years.

How are the layers containing the fossils organized?

The Law of Superposition, which asserts that in undisturbed rock sequences, the bottom layers are earlier than the top ones, is the foundation for this theory. Because of this, certain fossil discoveries can be dated using the strata—a particular stratum of rock—in which they were discovered.

What is the energy brought by electron carriers to the
mitochondria used for?
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

The correct answer will be- to synthesise the ATP molecules in respiration process.

Explanation:

The electron transport chain is the last phase of the cellular respiration which helps in the synthesis of a large number of ATP molecules.

The ATP molecules are synthesized when the energy generated by the movement of protons through CF₀ unit takes place.

The movement of electrons in the chain leads to the movement of proton from the mitochondrial matrix to the intermembrane space. This creates the proton gradient across the membrane which to equilibrate the protons move down the concentration gradient through ATP synthase. The energy while this is used to rotate the ATP synthase which coverts the ADP to ATP.

Thus, to synthesise the ATP molecules in the respiration process.

"In proteins, structural segments called ____ provide flexibility that allow parts of the protein to bend, fold, or move."
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

The correct answer is "random coils".

Explanation:

Random coil is a type of polypeptide secondary structure comprised of conformation that do not follow an established conformation but rather are oriented randomly. These random coils conformations provides flexibility to proteins, since the lack of a particular structure (such as alpha helices or beta sheets), allows the protein to bend, fold or move.

Why is it important to follow strict safety procedures when handling a urine sample
xz_007 [3.2K]

Because you could easily contaminate the results of the urine if you don't follow exactly what the strict rules dictate This could be a very dangerous thing because if you contaminate the results, then other doctors would think that the patient has some disease that needs to be taken care of which in reality they do not. The patient could also have to go through things or waste money on things that they don't need to because there was something in the urine that wasn't supposed to be there which was added because they didn't follow the strict rules. Then the doctor who contaminated it could be sued for malpractice which is never a good thing.
