The first thing you need to do is give common denominators.

you need to find a number that the denominators have in common.

in this case it would be 12 because 4 and 6 can both go into 12

what you do to the bottom you must also do to the top.

4 *3 = 12 so you need to multiply the top by 3 as well. 3*3= 9

6*2=12 so you need to multiply the top by 2 as well 1*2=2

now we have 12 9/12 -  6 2/12

now you subtract across, 9-2= 7 and you leave the denominator the same.

12-6=6

final answer is 6 7/12

you are not able to simplify it any further <span />

A line contains the points (-7,15) and (10,27) what is the slope of the line as a simplified fraction?
Gwar [14]

Answer:

The slope of line for given points is   \frac{12}{17}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given points of line as :

A  = ( - 7 , 15 ) i, e x_1 = - 7 ,  x_1 = 15

B = ( 10 , 27 )  i.e  x_2 =  10 , y_2 = 27

Let The slope of line be m

So , The slope with two points is given as equation

m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}

Or, m =  \frac{27 - 15}{10 + 7}

Or, m =  \frac{12}{17}

Hence The slope of line for given points is   \frac{12}{17} .  Answer

Collins is working.......
lesya [120]
Let n represent the amount Colin earned on Sunday.

On Sat. he earned n/2; on Sun. he earned n; and on Friday he earned (1/2)(n/2).

Then n/2  +  n  + n/4 = $70

Mult. all terms by 4 to eliminate fractions:

2n + 4n + n = $280

7n = $280  =>  n = $40

Colin earned n/2, or $20, on Saturday; n, or $40, on Sunday; and n/4, or $10, on Friday.

Note that $20 and $40 and $10 add up to $70, as they must.

a number that is divisible by 10 is also divisible by 5, because all factors of 10 are also factors of 5
DENIUS [597]

The Rule for 10: Numbers that are divisible by 10 need to be even and divisible by 5, because the prime factors of 10 are 5 and 2. Basically, this means that for a number to be divisible by 10, the last digit must be a 0. Take a look at the last digit: 23,890. The last digit is a 0.
