The reason of the protein digestion process is that the dietary protein is reduced into a group of amino acids in the gastrointestinal tract. Proteins are globular molecules that are comprised of smaller molecules called amino acids.

Answer:

Enzymes and Amino Acids

Explanation:

Mechanical digestion of protein begins in the mouth. There are two enzymes in our saliva called amylase and lipase. They mostly break down carbohydrates and fats. Then they are transferred to the stomach and at last go to small intestine. Once a protein source reaches our stomach, hydrochloric acid and enzymes called proteases break it down into smaller chains of amino acids. In this way chemical digestion of protein begins in the stomach and ends in the small intestine.

What’s the difference with prokaryotes and eukaryotes and how are they the same?
natulia [17]
There are several differences between the two, but the biggest distinction between them is that eukaryotic cells have a distinct nucleus containing the cell's genetic material, while prokaryotic cells don't have a nucleus and have free-floating genetic material instead.

Explain how such a long molecule such as DNA is able to fit inside the nucleus of a cell.
vovangra [49]
The DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid is the carrier of genetic information from all forms of living organisms. This is the main reason of the inheritance of traits, behaviors, attitude, physical appearances, and many more that helped, not just the human being, but all living organisms in the planet to adapt, adjust, evolve, and survive for generations and generations. The DNA is carried by the cells of the living organisms' body and is stored and shared eventually. Though it was discovered that the DNA is a long complicated helix that contains mostly all the information of life, this is stored in the nucleus of a cell because it is folded and condensed together with the other genetic materials.

The scientists modified the genes that were turned on/off (expressed) in mice. What happened to the offspring of these mice?
daser333 [38]

The resulting mice will be induced with the changed gene either on or off. The offspring will have altered genes if both the alleles have the trait. This is a heritable change.

Explanation:

Making gene on or off is a process of gene regulation when one of the gene is methylated or histone modification to prevent access to transcription factors hence no expression of the protein. This process is called epigenetics.

The resulting progeny in mice will receive the allele of on or off the gene. Such genes with altered allele are also called as

The altered genes will be expressed in the resulting progeny of mice.

The epigenetic genes can be reverted with environmental effects in the offspring paramutable alleles. They are heritable.
