You will want to divide the shape up into different parts to solve this. For example, first I would take the top rectangle (24x5=120) and add the answer of that to the rectangle in the middle section (120+(11x10)=230). Then, I would add the very last rectangle at the very bottom of the total we have so far (230+(7x3)=251). Lastly, I would take the semi-circle and find its area ((3.14x2)^2)/2=19.7192). Then, add all of the totals together and get your answer of

= 250.7192km^2

*note, only put the number of decimals needed.

Thanks :)

Which linear function is represented by the graph?
professor190 [17]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

 f(x) = -1/2x +1

Step-by-step explanation:

The line crosses the y-axis at y=1, so the y-intercept is b=1.

The line drops 1 unit for a run of 2 to the right, so the slope is ...

  m = rise/run = -1/2

The slope-intercept form of the equation of the line is ...

  y = mx + b

  y = -1/2x + 1

In functional form, the equation is ...

  f(x) = -1/2x +1

Line p has an equation of y=-8x+6. Line q, which is perpendicular to line p, includes the point (2,–2). What is the equation of
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

y =  \frac{1}{8} x - 2  \frac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Slope-intercept </u><u>form</u>

y= mx +c, where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept

Line p: y= -8x +6

slope= -8

The product of the slopes of perpendicular lines is -1. Let the slope of line q be m.

m(-8)= -1

m= -1 ÷(-8)

m= ⅛

Substitute m= ⅛ into the equation:

y= ⅛x +c

To find the value of c, substitute a pair of coordinates that the line passes through into the equation.

When x= 2, y= -2,

-2= ⅛(2) +c

- 2 =  \frac{1}{4}  + c

c =  - 2 -  \frac{1}{4}

c =  - 2 \frac{1}{4}

Thus, the equation of line q is y =  \frac{1}{8} x - 2 \frac{1}{4}.

Can so one explain please? So confused.
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is the length of the outline of a shape. To find the perimeter of a rectangle, square or other you have to add the lengths of all the sides.

For example if it comes out to 90 then you round it to the nearest hundredth.

Hope it helps
