Answer: Stems and leaves

The shoot system of plant consist of two vegetative parts called as stems and leaves. The shoot system grows above the ground and absorbs the light energy from sun to conduct photosynthesis necessary for plant growth and nourishment. The stem region exhibit active meristems which are the cells which undergoes quick and rapid differentiation due to the action of hormone like auxin and giberellins which causes cell differentiation, specialization to different functions, cell elongation to facilitate plant growth.

I need 6 FACTS about THE SPIRAL GALAXY
EastWind [94]

Answer:  1)Spiral galaxies are a class of galaxies originally described by astronomer Edwin Hubble in his 1936 work The Realm of the Nebulae.

2) They are part of the Hubble sequence a morphological classification scheme for galaxies.

3) Spiral galaxies usually consist of a rotating disk that contains stars, dust, gas, and a concentration of stars known as the bulge in the center.

4) These bulges are often surrounded by a faint halo of stars, many of which reside in globular clusters – a spherical collection of stars that orbits a galactic core.

5) As such, Spiral galaxies are named after their spiral structures that extend from the center into a galactic disk.

6) They have spiral arms – sites of ongoing star formation that are brighter than the surrounding disk due to the presence of young OB stars that inhabit them.

Which statement is an example of a scientific theory?
sergiy2304 [10]

The correct answer is option B, that is, all living organisms are composed of one or more cells, which came from pre-existing cells.

A scientific theory refers to a well-substantiated illustration of some characteristic of the natural world, on the basis of a number of facts, which have been repeatedly confirmed via the experiment and observation. Such fact-supported theories are not hypotheses, however, are reliable explanations of the real world.

During the late 1830s, the zoologist Schwann and the botanist Schleiden were examining tissues and postulated the unified cell theory. According to the unified cell theory, all the living things comprises of one or more cells, the cell is the fundamental unit of life, and the new cells originate from the pre-existing cells.
