ASL
Nata [24]

We can actually deduce here that the word that would have the same ASL sign as the word in bold type in the sentence "Jean likes his art class" is Draw.

What is ASL?

ASL actually means American Sign Language. It is known to be a natural language used for the deaf communities that are found in the United States and some part of Canada. It is a complete and organized visual language which uses manual expressions and nonmanual expressions.

ASL serves a predominant sign language specifically for the deaf communities in the United States.

The bolded word is art. In ASL, when referring to "art", there is a scribbling on the non-dominant palm that looks like drawing. Thus, drawing has the same ASL sign as the word in bold type in the sentence "Jean likes his art class".

Answer: simile and imagery

Explanation:Well there are numerous times in the passage where it is comparing two things using the term ‘as’. That’s why it is simile.

And imagery is because you can get a clear visual understanding of what is happening by the use of great detail. Ex: “horrific, haunted, painful friction”
