Mound Builders lived in North Amerika. They were people who built mounds over vast areas ranging from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico and some found in the Mississippi River to the Appalachian.

EXPLANATION

In North American archeology, there was a group of people called Mound Builders. Mound Builders were people who built mounds over vast areas ranging from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the mounds were found in the Mississippi River region to the Appalachian. The biggest mounds were found in Ohio and the Mississippi valley.

The origin of the mound was not known clearly, which makes many people consider it mysterious. Europeans considered that Native Americans were not that advanced to carry out this extraordinary development. Then the term "Builder Mound" developed to name those who built the mound.

In 1894, Cyrus Thompson of the Smithsonian Institution researched the issue. He concluded that the Mound was indeed built by Native Americans. Clarence Moore who also dug many mound sites in the South believed that the construction of the Mound in the south was strongly influenced by the Mesoamerican civilization.

Archaeologists point out that the mounds in North America were built over a long period of time by various walks of life, from peasants who lived to settlers to movers. This prehistoric mound had various forms and functions. Among its functions were as a cemetery, monument, or temple as a place of worship.

docker41 [41]

The Greensboro sit-in, and those that followed, sparked a decade of civil rights demonstrations in the United States. That was a departure from the N.A.A.C.P.'s (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), the leading civil rights organization at the time, which focused on ending segregation.

Which of the following was an agreement between the United States and Great Britain that eventually served as a model for the Un
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

The Atlantic Charter was an agreement between the United States and Great Britain that eventually served as a model for the United Nations.

Explanation:

The Atlantic Charter was a diplomatic act signed by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill on August 14, 1941 aboard the battleship Prince of Wales anchored in the Terranova Bay, among the Allied powers, which foresaw the enunciation of some principles for the future world order: prohibition of territorial expansions, internal and external self-determination, democracy, peace understood as freedom from fear and want, renunciation of the use of force, and a general security system that would allow disarmament. It resumed Wilson's "Fourteen Points" and affirmed the freedom of trade and navigation and the right of peoples to live "[...] free from fear and want". It was the seed of the birth of the UN and was consistent with the Stimson Doctrine, a declaration of general rejection of the territorial acquisitions obtained with the use of force, and with the Welles Declaration, issued in the particular case of the Soviet occupation of the Baltic republics.
