The Thirty Years War was a 17th century religious conflict initially in Central Europe.The war lasted from 1618 to 1648,starting as a battle among the catholics and the Protestants that formed the Holy Roman Empire.The war brought famine and disease in Europe.

But as the war evolved,it became less of a religious war and more of a thing that which group would govern Europe.

This conflict changed the geopolitical face of Europe and the role of religion and nation - states in society.

Furthermore, it caused tension within the country, and our beloved nationalism was not there. It caused outrage and many protests. The people of the U.S. became tired of the loss of people and many began to see our government as weak.<span />
