The only sentence with something wrong in it is C. The way it is set up makes it seem as if the crowd is riding in her convertible instead of the Homecoming Queen. I believe that C is the sentence that contains a misplaced or dangling modifier.


(I say "I believe" but that is my personal way of saying this is the correct answer.)
