The distance between them after 4 hours is 1488.75 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question apply the law of cosine/The Cosine Rule which states that :

c²=a²+b²-2abcosC where a, b and c are sides of the triangle and C is the angle between the two points.

In this case, the points will be Carlos location and Andrea location , where the angle between their locations is , ∠C 130° ,(210°-80°). Then a will be Andrea's speed, 180 mph and b will be Carlos's speed 230 mph. Finding the distance between then, c, after 4 hours will be;

c²=a²+b²-2abcosC   where a=180, b=230, ∠C=130°

c=√ (a²+b²-2abcosC)

c=√(180²+230²-2×180×230×cos(130°) )

c=372.19 miles

After 4 hours, the distance will be : 4×372.19 = 1488.75 miles

The parthenon has an 8 x 17 colonnade of columns around the periphery. What is the total number of columns around the outer peri
saw5 [17]

Answer:

  46

Step-by-step explanation:

Adding the given numbers of columns on each side counts each corner column twice. Therefore, we must subtract 4 corner columns from the total.

  2(8+17) -4

  = 2(25) -4

  = 50 -4

  = 46

Object------------- Diameter (cm) ----- Circumference (cm)
Aliun [14]

Answer: Flying disc

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to apply the next formula for each object:

Circumference(C) = π x diameter

  • Coin

Diameter = 3

Circumference (measured) = 10

C (calculated) = π x d = π x 3 = 9.42

10≅9.42

  • Flying disc

Diameter =23

Circumference (measured) = 28

C (calculated) = π x d = π x 23 = 72.25

72.25 ≠ 28

Not accurate

  • Jar lid

Diameter =8

Circumference (measured) =25

C (calculated) = π x d = π x 8= 25.13

25 ≠ 25.13

  • Flower pot

Diameter =15

Circumference (measured)=47

C (calculated) = π x d = π x 15 = 47.12

47 ≠47.12
