Where were newcomers to texas able to preserve their cultural heritage as a community?
Fudgin [204]

Newcomers to Texas were able to preserve their cultural heritage as a community in many different areas of life. Newcomers were often able to remain with people that came from their own community or background. Moreover, they were usually able to bring with them their farming techniques and strategies. Texas was a relatively accepting area, as many people had relocated recently. The acceptance of different cultures and origins made Texas a particularly attractive location for many migrants.

USA vs Confederate advantages and disadvantages
lukranit [14]

Answer:

The main advantages of the USA were:

A larger population, the USA had the majority of large cities of North America at the time, and a lot of immigrants, while the Confederacy was mainly rural, and not as populated. This larger population meant a more numerous army.

And a more powerful economy with some industry, which facilitated the production of arms and supplies for the military.

The disadvantage was that USA was the aggressor, and had to take up territory, while the confederacy only had to defend itself.

The confederacy main advantage was that as defenders, they knew most of the territory better, and had overall a more advantageous geographical position, at least at the start of the war. The main disadvantage for the Confederacy was precisely the smaller population -which means a smaller army- and the less developed economy, which was mainly agrarian, lacking almost any form of industry.

How did Japan’s aggression in Manchuria demonstrate US weakness?
alisha [4.7K]
The Japanese believed that the most honorable thing to do was to die in battle, and the most dishonorable thing to do was surrender. The Americans would surrender, while the Japanese would fight to the last man.
